Hi, I'm Vicki! 🌿
Mum | Wellness Educator | Certified Holistic Hormone & Fertility Coach
Welcome to Low Tox Inspo! I'm so glad you've found your way here.
I'm a Perth-based mum of two, a Certified Holistic Hormone and Fertility Coach, and someone who's been passionate about natural health and wellness for many years.
But my journey hasn't been a straight line. Far from it!
Like many women, my interest in health and wellness grew out of my own experiences, challenges and a desire to make better choices for myself and my family.
Where it all began...
My journey towards a healthier, low-tox lifestyle began back in 2008.
I was becoming increasingly conscious of the products I was using on my body and around my home. I wanted to make healthier choices, so I started swapping conventional products for ones marketed as natural or environmentally friendly.
At the time, I thought I was doing pretty well!
What I didn't realise was just how much greenwashing was happening — clever marketing that made products appear healthier or more natural than they really were.
It wasn't until I became involved with an Australian natural and organic skincare and wellness company, that I started learning more about ingredients, product labels and the importance of looking beyond marketing claims.
That experience really opened my eyes.
I began to understand that making informed choices wasn't about trusting the words on the front of a bottle. It was about learning what was actually inside it.
And that curiosity has stayed with me ever since.
A very personal journey with hormones and fertility
My passion for understanding women's health comes from a deeply personal place.
My own fertility journey was long, emotional and certainly not what I'd imagined when I first started dreaming of becoming a mum.
After coming off The Pill, my periods didn't return, and I eventually discovered that I was experiencing Premature Ovarian Insufficiency. What followed was years of searching for answers, exploring different approaches and navigating the emotional rollercoaster of fertility challenges.
There were setbacks, heartbreak, hope and disappointment along the way. Eventually, through the incredible gift of egg donation, I became a mum to my two beautiful children.
But that journey left me with so many questions.
I became fascinated by hormones, nutrition and the many ways our body's systems are interconnected. I wanted to understand more about the foundations of good health and how lifestyle, nutrition and other factors can influence our wellbeing and reproductive health.
More importantly, I wanted to help other women who were struggling with their fertility.
I knew firsthand how overwhelming it could be to face fertility challenges, and I wanted women to feel informed and empowered to explore ways to optimise their health naturally, whether before considering IVF or alongside conventional fertility care.
That passion led me to become a Certified Holistic Hormone and Fertility Coach.
While I know that natural approaches can't resolve every fertility challenge, I believe there is real value in understanding our bodies, addressing our overall health and making informed decisions about the options available to us.
These days, my focus has broadened beyond fertility to the hormonal changes and challenges women experience throughout life.
And now, as a mum navigating midlife and raising teenagers, I'm discovering that there's a whole new chapter of women's health to explore!
Discovering Young Living
In March 2015, Young Living became part of my wellness journey.
What initially attracted me was the opportunity to incorporate essential oils and naturally inspired products into our everyday lives.
Over time, they became part of the routines I was creating for myself and my family, from personal care and household cleaning to relaxation and everyday wellbeing.
But what I've valued just as much as the products is the education, the community and the opportunity to keep learning.
More than a decade later, I'm still discovering new things, questioning what I thought I knew and finding ways to make natural wellness simpler and more accessible.
Life as a midlife mum
These days, life looks a little different!
I'm raising two kids while navigating the changes that come with midlife, juggling work, family commitments and all the mental load that so many mums know only too well.
And I've come to realise something important.
We spend so much of our lives looking after everyone else that it's incredibly easy to lose sight of our own wellbeing.
Between hormonal changes, disrupted sleep, stress, endless to-do lists and supporting our kids through their teenage years, it's no wonder so many women feel exhausted and overwhelmed.
I know what it's like to want to do better for yourself and your family but not have the time, energy or headspace to make complicated changes.
And that's really what inspired Low Tox Inspo.
Why I created Low Tox Inspo
I wanted to create a space where women, particularly mums navigating midlife and raising teenagers, could find practical information, encouragement and simple ideas to support their wellbeing.
Not another overwhelming list of things we should be doing.
Not a quest for perfection.
Just realistic, achievable changes that fit into everyday life.
Here, you'll find education and inspiration around hormonal wellbeing, stress, sleep, nutrition, reducing everyday toxin exposure and creating healthier routines for the whole family.
I'll share things I've learnt, things I've tried, products I genuinely enjoy and ideas that have made a difference in my own life.
Young Living is part of that story, but it's not the whole story. I believe wellness is about the bigger picture — what we eat, how we sleep, how we manage stress, the environment we create around ourselves and the little choices we make each day.
And I firmly believe you don't have to change everything overnight to start making a difference.
I'm so glad you're here!
I'm still learning, still making changes and definitely still figuring out how to balance it all.
But if there's one thing I've learnt along the way, it's that looking after ourselves deserves a place on the priority list too.
My hope is that you'll find something here that inspires you to take that next small step towards feeling healthier, more balanced and more like yourself.
Because this stage of life isn't just about looking after everyone else.
It's about looking after you, too.
With love,
Vicki xx 🌿
